3 Insulting Phonecalls Today

I have received 3 Insulting Phonecalls Today and surprisingly none were from forum members.

(I think there was a thread about these callers before)

They ring me up ask for me by name and tell me there is something wrong with my internet. (I did not inform them that the Internet is NOT (edit) currently under my ownership).

Of course I know this is a scam so I tell them to hold on because there is someone at the door. Ten minutes or so later I pick the phone back up and they have disconnected.

Phone rings again, I answer and tell them I do not own a PC but a tablet.
They ask me which sort of tablet so I list my current medication.

The caller (of Asian heritage buy the sounds of him) then asks me if I am a ******* ****

He then insists I am a ******* **** and a ******* A-hole

I do not respond and after a minute of swearing he puts the phone down.

Since then he has called back twice bursting into an abusive tirade of racial swear words insisting I am from Pakistan and a terrorist. (but not in such terms)

Just thought I would share this with you.

ps I am of wite British origin but never class myself as so on forms as I prefer to believe my parents were trees and I class myself as a forest person.

Canot block number as they block the number when they call so I can't tell who is calling.

Sounds like you are having fun with the guy and he having a bad scamming day. I never seem to get fun calls like this

Load up a laughtrack on YouTube and just play it back to him every time he calls to rant. It'll drive him insane.

This poor guy is just trying to do his job, and you're making his life a misery. More to the point, why weren't you working? Your boss is going to be furious when he finds out you spent the day harassing legitimate callers.

The poor guy was trying to get me to download a virus or similar. A genuine caller would not have shouted abuse down the phone on three separate occasions.

I work from home living off my investments and an insurance pay out. I am my boss and was not upset at all.

This is the way to deal with cold callers and scammers - it's old but worth listening to all the way through
