was nipping into the Council earlier to pick up some paperwork. Took wallet out the glovebox after parking the car, stuck it in my back pocket and zipped the pocket up. and sauntered off to pick my paperwork up, came out and went to grab a coffee and low and behold no wallet. :(

now my question for GD is have I covered myself here?

I've phoned credit card companies Fuel card company and banks to cancel all cards and request replacements. I've also contacted the local police station to report it missing but I wont hold out much hope on that one.

Driving license wasn't in there so that's accounted for and everything else is just silly stuff like blockbuster membership, Costco card etc etc.

any other steps I should be taking here?

Retrace your foot steps and see if you can find it, maybe it was handed in if there is any shops around or at the council.

Besides that... not a clue!

contacted the council, but my moneys on the contents of my wallet being traded for a bag of smack

I found a wallet on the country road by my parents house a couple of weeks ago, called the police but then searched him on facebook and tracked down his place of work and went and gave it him. There are plenty of nice people about so there's a chance itll be handed in.

I admire your decency I hope some kind soul like yourself finds it rather than the usual glasgow junkie but I get the feeling it's been lifted rather than lost

Don't understand it sealed back pocket with a tightish tshirt down over the pocket never stopped at any point so if its been lifted then FairPlay to the skills they obviously possess

It's a pity you didn't catch them at it. Then you could have delivered a vicious sweep, sending them sprawling to the floor where you could then get close and deliver your own message of vengeance.

Your Blockbuster card???? Noooooo.

I'd say, have a good think about what was in there, there's usually one thing you forget about, like supermarket loyalty card, something like that, don't want people stealing your loyalty points!

I also think you might get it back, perhaps would the cash that was in there...

Reminds me of the time I found a blackberry on Jesus Green. I phoned "Dad" and got a really loud "Hello Darling! How are you! I must tell you about..." at which point I interrupted, told them I'd found the phone and asked where to drop it off :P.

you should've waited to hear what he was going to say - could've been life changing.. or just sickening
