HI all , i'm currently running a 7850 with a 3570k on 1080 res, and was looking for a bit of an upgrade and wanted opinions on a couple of options. I don't want to spend too much as I have to buy a new psu at the same time and will probably save up and get a top end card next year.

I've been looking at the 7870 Tahiti which would cost me £175 or adding another 7850 for £150.main games are bf3. crisis 3 , far cry 3 , bioshock etc , my current set up plays the games pretty well at high settings would like a little more fps i'm open to suggestions i have considered 7950 and 660ti etc but wanted to keep cost down

7850 Xfire would be pretty decent, though xfire does come with potential issues.

If I were in your position I would get a 7950 and sell your 7850. Which means you can keep your current PSU and save up for a Titan or something. :)

You could always get a PSU along with your 7950 and then buy another one in a little.while.

Thanks again to who replied, bit the bullet and picked up a 7950 this morning, had a scary moment after installing it and pc would post but managed to sort it in the end clearing cmos and updating bios.

Also changed my psu at the same time so now my pc is a lot quieter, now to see how far it overclocks.

I'm in a similar situation, recently started using eyefinity at 5760x1080 and FPS has dropped considerably. Do i get another 7850 2GB and crossfire or do i sell the one i have and upgrade?
