Iv'e been struggling for a while now to find a stable OC, when i think i finally have found a suitable setting i get a driver crash a day or so later...

Atm I've been using 1145/1600 in Unigine Heaven for multiple runs and I've had no problems what so ever. Are these the correct settings to be using?

API: DirectX 11
Quality: Ultra
Tessellation: Normal
Stereo 3D: Disabled
Multi-monitor: Disabled
Anti-aliasing: x4
Full Screen: Yes
Resolution: 1920x1080

This is where it gets strange, last night i had a driver crash in Arma2 under the settings of 1150/1475. So i'm thinking to myself how can the clocks above be stable in Unigine :S

Different games put different stress upon GPUs, you may be stable in heaven however Arma 3 is more demanding and causes a higher load on your GPU, which can cause it to crash. If it's not stable in a game, you'll have to drop the clocks (Probably the core, not the memory here).

e.g. you may hit 1300MHz in BF3.. Load up Crysis 3 and it can only take 1250, as C3 > BF3 in terms of GPU load.

Pc just froze on Tera Online, kinda strange because ive played C3 on 1150/1500 plenty of times with no problem and then arma2 doesnt like it. Seems to change all the time

Im going to try 1100/1500 because since i increase the Memory to 1600 it freezes my whole PC with a black screen with grey lines. When it crashed before it was just a driver crash so i assume it was the Core Clock which was not stable, so ill drop it by 50mhz and see what happens

Seems fine so far, i think it was just the Core Clock causing it to become unstable but only time will tell i suppose. Id rather leave it around 1100 than have it higher and be unstable across different games

Other things can cause graphics driver crashes also m8, i get them mainly from unstable CPU overclocks, but heaven will run on much higher overclocks than most games i find m8, i can run heaven with the core 30mhz higher than Crysis for example.

Hmmm interesting didn't know a CPU overclock could cause this problem, i'm not sure it would be my CPU OC though as i was running a 6850 before with no problems.

I did suffer with some driver crashes on my 6850 though but i believe it was because i was trying to push it to far (when i started first overclocking)
