My GF has a b+e entitlment & i do not, i have no need for it other than when she is with me anyway. With her in the car can I tow?

Would be handy as it would save the cost of doing the test.

(i know i can tow upto certain limits but i'm talking 4+ tons)

Afaik, no.

You need the entitlement on your license.

Or, putting it another way,ask yourself this - could you drive my C+E artic if I was sat next to you in the passenger seat?

I don't know which is why i ask, i know a provisional holder can drive with a full holder sat beside and when learning you can tow with someone sat beside.

I'm a bad passenger & have more experience. I can tow our caravan with my mondeo but our new Jeep Grand Cherokee takes the weight over what my licence allows.

Surely in this case then - either get the license entitlement or suck it up and let her drive :)

If you have B&E provisional you can drive with L plates and someone who has B&E entitlement for at least 3 years.

Although your better off sucking it up and getting it done yourself to avoid the L plate thing and retain a few man points!
