Pretty sure my DMF is dying

Didn't read the other posts (sorry) but DMF + clutch LUK was £360 for parts then just got a reputable garage to fit it. From what I can gather LUK make the genuine parts anyway?

Even rubbish garages near me charge £55 per hour + vat (£66) which comes to £690.

This is a mechanic I trust, which I suppose counts for a lot these days.
