Hi,
I just ordered the Asus GeForce GTX 670 DirectCU II 4096MB GDDR5 from OCUK.
I need to know if I can run three 27in monitors at 2560x1440 each on this card.
I DO NOT intend to play games at 3x 2560x1440 (I will play on a single monitor), I just need it for productivity.
The display connectors on the card are 2x Dual-Link DVI-I, 1x HDMI 1.4a & 1x Displayport.

Thanks a lot.

Thanks a lot, spoffle.
But can't I directly connect:
1. Cable 1- DVI(monitor 1)- DVI 1( video card)
2. Cable 2- DVI(monitor 2)- DVI 2(video card)
3. Cable 3 -DisplayPort (monitor 3)- DisplayPort (video card)

If that doesn't work, then what is the scheme?

If you have a monitor with Displayport input, then that would work fine.

These chaps have not read the OP

You need Dual Link DVI ports for 2560x1440.

Your card has:
DVI Output : Yes x 1 (DVI-I), Yes x 1 (DVI-D)
HDMI Output : Yes x 1
Display Port : Yes x 1 (Regular DP)

Thus only one DVI port will do what you need on that card.

You need monitors that will allow that res Via HDMI, DP and DVI-D.

lmao Diagro... DVI-I means Integrated, it means it can do either digital or analog, but it IS DUAL LINK

both the DVI ports on a 670 are dual link, they will both do what the OP needs

ah, you make my day sometimes

A standard GeForce GTX 670 only requires two 6-pin PCI-E connectors. It can support up to 4 displays on a single video card, with one Dual Link DVI-I connector, one Dual Link DVI-D connector, one HDMI connector and one DisplayPort connector.

Well I'm sorry Mr smarty pants, My 7970 cant do Dual link via its DVI-I port, so i presumed most DVI-I wouldn't.

Seems they managed to make it so both can do Dual link.

Both DVI ports are dual link (DVI-I and DVI-D can both be dual link, and on this card they are), so the previous answers saying no adaptor is needed are correct.

Both my 7950s have dual link DVI-I outputs, and the 2x Twin Frozr III 7950s I had before them also had 2x dual ink DVI-I outputs as well.

One of the DVI outputs share bandwidth with one of the DPs, you've also got to turn the switch on for dual link DVI (next to CF bridges)

the dual link-ed-ness of a DVI has nothing to do with whether it's -D or -I

post up saying "you guys need to go read the OP" is a sure way to get a sarcastic response in turn mate, people in glass houses and all that

Whats with people putting words in my mouth today?

i said "These chaps have not read the OP"

Not: "you guys need to go read the OP"

Amounts to the same thing, you posted saying everyone was wrong when in fact they were totally correct

You could have just posted "I don't think dvi-I is dual link" instead of mentioning anything about other people's reading skills or lack thereof
