Is it crazy to get a Motorola maxx hd imported?

Why not just save yourself the hassle and get an S4? It's pretty good you know...

Tbh I don't like it at all. I'd go for the htc one if i got one of those. This phone (samsung) has nEver been a good phone and always had an issue. And I hate the feel of it. It's plastic doesn't like my hands!

I'm not fussed about specs (don't play games) but battery life is massive MASSIVE issue as said

So s4.. Do not like the feel, don't like brand, not sure about signal strength
One.. Non removable not big battery, no RGB led, no sd, not sure on signal
I don't believe either have good enough battery life

Razr I.. I couldn't go down in screen size!

having a good signal pickup phone and a big battery will help my battery life in 2 ways

The one might not have a "big battery" but the "battery life" is very good :p. As for signal, supposedly it is excellent and actually better than the majority of phones due to the way HTC have handled the antenna situation, have a look at the anandtech review, explains it better.

The battery life on both will be far better than what you get on your galaxy nexus, especially if they have stronger signal with them.

Question.

Is there a reliable signal strength comparison for phones?

I think a good/better signal would be more beneficial than a big battery (both help!)

But I still don't think the one can beat the maxx hd. Both having non removable battery is a worry

Not that I know of, only user opinions.

Yup, most certainly would be more beneficial than a huge battery.

In terms of battery life, not a chance, no phone can! :p

Ah I'll get the moto, besides, it's little different :-P

Looks like I avoided a customs charge. Phone is on its way. Stupid bank holiday. It's probably gonna get here Tuesday

Nothing really which would be a great help. I've never had any trouble with a Motorola phone suffering from poor signal reception. They seem to have radio aerials sussed.

I'd not be overly concerned about the none removable battery thing. If you tried hard enough I guess you could run even a HD Maxx battery down within the day but fairly unlikely.

I did fancy a Razr HD Maxx but at the time there seemed no chance of them coming the UK - and still the case. If the regular Razr HD had been released here the same time as the Razr i I would have seriously considered it but went with the latter. Been a good phone really and still is. Battery isn't quite as good as it was since the Jellybean update (I don't use Google Now) but still go a day without any trouble. I'm happy to keep using it until the Motorola X is released and see what that is like - hoping it's nothing mahusive!

Let us know what you think of the HD Maxx when you get it.

mine will annoyingly have the verizon logo on the bottom, but never mind. should be here this week,

of course i will post pics, screenies etc. Long as the RGB LED is good, battery life is as good as i hope and/or signal is improved i will be happy.

^ ah yess i was quite active in that thread!

The LED is bloody epic :D

damn you parcel force! i want this phone now! If i miss the delivery im going to be savage! I either get it delivered thursday and hope im there or i play it safe and get it delivered friday when the GF is home .. but i loose a days play! being layed off so i can pretty much spend friday playing with it if i get it thursday!

if im honest the led was a big draw! Its one of those things that if i had never had one set up how i do now i never would have missed it. But alas i got light flow. I always did wonder why HTC dropped it!

Got my phone but am wondering if something is wrong with it.

I have put a sim from Argos in and the phone has signal but I cannot make a call to the network operator

I'm not sure if there is some other reason this isn't working

OK so I tried it in my nexus and exactly the same result.

Is there some special way to activate a 3 payg sim?
