CPW/Phones4U couldn't tell me a set date; vodafone could, so I ended up going direct
Nice, do let us know what you think of it when you get a chance. I know its shipped with the 10.1 OS, which a lot of Z10 owners are waiting for...shouldnt be too long before its out for the Z10 from what i have heard.
Went into a few stores and didnt see any display which was a shame as i really want to play with one and see what its like.
Impressed, in a word. I'd used BB10 on a Z10 briefly before, but after getting used to it, I love it. It's the first phone I've ever used where multitasking does not feel like a clunky afterthought, but a fundamental feature. Swapping between apps is wonderful; I can be reading something online (in the very, very smooth browser!) and with a swipe and a click I'm in docs to go writing.... it's simple small things but it feels so, so smooth and slick and just... together. The hub being just a swipe away at all times is fab... peak at the email title, see if it's important, if it's not, ignore, back to browsing/etc.
There's obvious limitations, the app selection is poor at present, particularly on the q10 as lots of things haven't been converted yet, and the fact headless apps are not a reality yet is the one thing that is driving me mad.
I am very happy, but I have very, very particular requirements for a phone and the Q10 satisfies them down to a T. It is not for everyone, but as a 'phone', blackberry still comes out on top, in my eyes.
Good stuff, glad to hear your enjoying the Q10...i want to play with one myself but at the moment im too much in love with Z10. Indeed there are a few things that BB10 is missing ie headless apps but they should be coming out after May as thats when the big dev conference is being held. So hopefully the devs will get their hands on those particular api's in order for apps to run in the background.

Nope nothing yet, theres a big blackberry dev conference happening in a few weeks time in Orlando so we will probably get some news as to when the Android player will get the JB update. But i wouldnt expect it until summer/late summer time.
Hoping that the official 10.1 update is pushed out soon, heard that its been sent to carriers for them to test so shouldnt be too long before its out for the z10. Although you could load a leak 10.1 OS if you wanted to, seems like most people that have done so, are reporting its pretty stable and fast.

Some nice updates in there but I don't like that way that facebook entries in the Hub are now presented with a FB style rather than BB10 style, I know it shouldn't matter but it just bugs me, look and feel is important and having the FB styling there just jars. Also the font for twitter entries in the Hub is massive and I haven't worked out if I can change it.

Well with the new 10.1 the fonts or size of fonts have become smaller, whatsapp now has its own heading in the hub. Not sure about twitter as again i dont use it all that much, i have blaq which is a much better twitter client imho and worth the £2 or so it costs.
As for facebook??, i dont use it...only time i use it is on my laptop or pc at work and even then i log on maybe once every few weeks...i actually hate facebook so try to avoid using it as much as possible.
What network you on??...im on voda and got it this afternoon...also been hearing that o2 users also got the update. If your z10 is unlocked then just get a PAYG sim from voda and use that everytime theres a new update out. Its a pain in the backside but until your network releases it, theres not much else you can do. Lots of people complaining about EE/tmo and orange not releasing the OS update...last time round it was almost 2 weeks before they released it :/
