I was just reading about this and I thought...what thick idiots

"Six men from the West Midlands have pleaded guilty to planning to bomb an English Defence League rally."

"Five of them took a homemade bomb to an EDL rally in Dewsbury, West Yorkshire, last June but arrived after it ended." :D:D

"They were caught after their car was stopped and found to have no insurance." :D:D:D

So a bunch of idiots trying to kill another bunch of idiots fail big time.

If they were suicide bombers would it have been a net gain if they succeeded? - by wiping out two groups of retards. (half joking)

This must be like free gold to the EDL propaganda division.

Yep. Much as I view the EDL as a bunch of thugs looking for a fight rather than peacefully protesting...

Isn't the EDL's "point" all about being against Islamic extremism and the spread of Islamism, Sharia law and Islamic extremism in the UK?

So then the extremists going out to attack them with terrorists bombs etc. just, well,... proves the EDLs point?

What worries me is that another three Birmingham guys got 51 years in total prison time for terrorism not long ago.

What the hell is going on in my home town!

Although I can see why people are seeing the funny side of this, I was sickened when I saw the nails, bolts, ball bearings etc they'd packed the bomb with. Make no mistake, if this bomb had gone off then it would have been indiscriminate carnage worse than the Boston Marathon. Goodness only knows what would have happened if they'd have gone on the rampage with their guns and knives too.

I bet there's not just EDL supporters at/around an EDL rally. I'd probably waddle down to see what was going on from a distance. I'm sure many other members of the public would, too, if it was their area.

These terrorists have no place in this country. I don't support the EDL, or even really know what they stand for... but this is no way to challenge them.

hehe its like when it used to kick off at the footy you always hung around to watch it going off.

Same when these muppets came to Stoke-On-Trent. I was up town that day, loads of people were watching or trying to do the Saturday shopping shop etc.

We seem to be very fortunate in this country that most of these terrorists are so thick.
