10.Tiredness

Isn't tiredness a symptom of some illnesses?

14.Entitlement.

I do pay my taxes and if the health system is failing me then i want a reduction in my tax to go private.

.....i am no doctor :)

I have to say some of those points are quite frankly rude! As Cosimo pointed out tiredness is a symptom of some illnesses, leukemia being one of them. The point stating dont ask for letters for companies like insurance and airlines is quite frankly ridiculous, my father in law has a complex list of medications from his GP, medications that are legal in this country are illegal in others so his GP has to give him a letter and many other documents to prove they are all prexcibed by a doctor.
The Point don't bring a list to your doctor??? well for the last however long all ive ever heard a doctor say to me or a family member is bring a list of your symptoms and when they occur.
I hope the op does not put this up in his waiting room as you will get a lot of very poorly people if they follow that list.

It's terribly written and reaffirms every potential negative stereotype which can be associated with GPs. Thankfully my GP is nothing like the cretin who has produced this website.

1. Turn up on time

How about get me in on time then?

I don't go to the doctor often but even when I had the first appointment of the day I still went in 5 mins late.

"The doctor has trained for over 8 years as a minimum and has earned the right to run a bit late-if you can’t accept this you should find another doctor."

This is the best piece of advice on that page.

Yeah that rubbed me slightly the wrong way. GP bills for the time they spend with you. They wouldn't treat you like this if you were paying them directly, thus they shouldn't be doing it just because the Government are involved.

That said, I'm sure this is just a reaction to scrotes yelling about entitlement after the Dr has asked them to stop wasting his time.

GPs don't start the day with their first appointment. A 5 minute wait is nothing to cry about.

It's the sort of unfunny list you see on Facebook, someone trying to be clever (and seems always end with the god awful "rant over" comment) when unfortunately it just...isn't.

seriously:confused::confused: no it really really doesn't.

Which bits don't you like? It's not a serious list, it's not meant to be followed literally. Common sense should apply however GP appointments are full of dross that shouldn't be there because a significant proportion of the general population is acopic.

Tiredness - EVERYONE is tired, if you turn up and tell your GP you're just tired its not going to get either you or the GP far.

Lists - as most GP surgeries will tell you an appointment is for one problem, if you have a list of things you want sorting you need to request an extended appointment or prioritise.
