nissan cube/cubic

in case anyone doesn't know just how hilarious these things look....

the earlier ones are all imports there was a uk release of the later model but they don't have the same quality looks!!
might not be very aerodynamic but bound be good on the brakes!! hah

I swear a Nissan dealer in Southampton must have shipped over a load, as I have seen loads around here, but never seen any in other parts of the country.

From what I understand its just a Micra with a slightly bonkers body on it?

I'm actually looking at one in southampton! there seems to be a couple of garages that do the imports in the south of england, luckily I only stay at the complete opposite end of the country!!

from what I have read it's got bits of a note and micra in there but there's another couple of engines that share bits too

My dad sells them at West Way Nissan in Redbridge. Will ask him when I see him later if they're imports or not.

One of my mates has one. He is a touch eccentric so it kind of works. He previously had a nissan s cargo as well which is even more retarded looking.

I really like them. Couple of favourable reviews on Honest John:

It's my wives' but I have to confess to taking it out for sneaky drives because I ..........really like it! It feels a bit like cross dressing because it's truly such a girly car, but I don't care. My friends laugh and tell me they admire my self confidence, but I don't care. I't actually a really good car.
Now, it's no sports car. There's a fair bit of body roll and for a 1.6 it is a bit under powered. But for journeys round town its comfortable, practical and reliable.....and it makes me smile. It makes nearly everybody smile, even people who don't like how it looks. And it was soooo cheap...I just could not walk away...£7500 for a 1 year old car with 10k.
And so I'm very happy with our (yes 'our' cube).
PS Needed new discs - made a scene in the local dealership and they paid 50% - £75. Otherwise faultless.

I purchased this car after having numerous cars after a bad accident, loved my bmw but it in the snow = taxi, Then because I do so many miles I purchased a 2010 micra, which i like but, I saw the cube in the showroom then but was too expensive. Because the Cube had dropped so much in the first year it came into my price bracket after I had the micra a year.
The cube is fantastic, I cannot speak highly enough of this car. It is differant people look at it and notice you, just what i need from having been in an accident with a lorry that did not see me. The black tinted windows are fantastic, for golf etc. The boot is large and has split seats so goes on and on. The seats are very very cumfy yet sporty. the cabin is amazing so so large , with blue tooth, sat nav, ipod and reversing camera and a fantastic light roof, cruise control I couldnot ask for anything else.
I do loads of combined mpg and I am getting 42 mpg at the lowest for a 1.6 petrol which is very nippy and only a couple less than I got in my micra. The ride is good , because you are so high up you do have to remember to slow down round corners as you can take them a bit to fast.
The first few months was spent with people coming to sit in my car , complete strangers that had never seen one before .

I cannot speak highly enough of this car, I just love it so much. people when they call to see me say what on earth is that then after they have sat in it , they want one.

We looked at a 2010 UK spec one in White back when we bought the Smart car - I personally think they are very cool cars. The potential hilarious depreciation was what put me off - was a couple of years ago and was up for over £10k and couldn't believe it'd be worth more than £25 in a few years time as they don't seem to be particularly liked. Shame really as I think they are great cars :)
