** The Official Call of Duty: Ghosts (CoD 2013) thread ***

Dynamic loading seems pretty good. Unique to FPS'.
To keep people into the game they should really just remove proning. It worked out great in BFBC2 with less sniping whores from across the map camping. It seems as though Activision just dont learn anything from the community.
The "future setting but current generation weapons" is a bit "eh". We need changes, not redesigned weapons that have been used in every COD, like the ACR, SCAR etc..

Seems pretty legit to me though. If it isnt then well played to the people who made it. Does seem very "un-call of duty" like.

Official reveal at the Xbox event on may 21st.

New engine confirmed by Mark Rubin, hopefully not trolling and it will be a new engine and not iw 4.0.

The problem with that is most weapons used by real soldiers are just redesigns of older models. The basic design of the SA80 is almost 30 years old, the M16 is older, and still in use, just updated.

I thought he died?

I know you said this ages ago but I just noticed :D

The Ghost we know, may or may not be the first ghost. There was some "debate" on the subject, it may well be a callsign used by someone with a specific skillset, or he took it from a mentor figure.

Also, may well be a prequel.

A prequel set in the future. :p

I don't see a problem with this. People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect, but actually — from a non-linear, non-subjective viewpoint — it's more like a big ball of wibbly-wobbly... timey-wimey... stuff. :D

I shall stick with my handed-down callsign then lol.

The new engine is a "heavily modified" version of asteroids. At least hit detection will be better.

That teaser trailer is proper ****! The production in it is just rubbish. Looks more like a fan made film than a proper film. You'd think Activision could afford to pay for something decent with all the money they make from COD.

With regards to the new engine - is it just for next gen consoles or this gen as well? It's been confirmed this game is coming out on both.

I'll put my name down for the beta.

You don't need to put your name down, just walk into a supermarket on release day, hand over £40 and then you're in the beta with 10+ million others, just like the last 4 years.

I've said it before it's the only game that I know of that you pay the publisher over $1 Billion for the privilege of testing the game for them.

Yep they don't even need to try anymore, so they don't.
