In the title, innit? Looking for a program (free ideally) that can record, handle these IPCAMS (maybe webcams) but ultimately the outdoor bullet ones.

I am after some sort of software for Windows ideally to run on my HP MICROSERVER that records any activty. I got one of these cams to test out then I was gunna buy bullett(hq) ones for outside.

Theres loads of info on running em but thats on their own and not a computer program recirding on a computer. I did get that cam working but never found a way to tie it up to to my wireless. Probably serve as an indoor cam or aim from upstairs, outside but LED lights gave them away even in the day(cover them?)

So loooking to setup summit - I know of them PVRs too and kits of PVR+2-4cam.

Vitamin D is free for 1 camera. Good bit of software and worth spending the money on for the full version.

iSpy is free and excellent, can handle many IP cams inc. PTZ models. Is this to catch your sister stealing your late (?) grandad's old Euros and the keys to your untaxed and uninsured scrapper?

I have a very similar IPCAM.
On mine the software can turn the power LED off.
To use it inside looking out through a window, you'll get reflections. At night they'll be worse when the IR LEDs light up. Also the IR LEDs on mine, glow visibly red when they're on.

Nice gunna run that and test on my IP CAM. Will upgrade cam and get 2 and get licence for any others. My IP CAM has a wireless antenna? I had trouble getting that onto the network or something.

As the garden can be used by family I would need an app or easy way to "ignore for 4 hr" option.

Switch off the LED is a NICE idea.

Setting up email allert and a fresh account would be nice. Also Is there a way to view the cameras on TV/PC? I will have XBMC on TVS so maybe a menu option for CCTV and bing it brings it up.

Its that or after alarm is redone my mum asks about CCTV setup (cost is£250) and its my turf - she thinks its not proper. *I'll show her*

Thanks. + on the iSpy
