H&G just started a new business, have so far

  • Registered and incorporated
  • Set up business banking
  • Made a terrible website with basic info and services
  • Ordered some cards
I have a very small amount of work coming in and 'networking' to get some more but I think I need to advertise somewhere, the firm is Chartered Surveying / Chartered Building so anywhere relevant to advertise.

Would rated people and the like be the right place? anywhere else?

Looking at the local http://www.mantramagazines.co.uk/home.php Postcode freebie mags but are they any good?

H&G?

Terrible website should be your first priority. Pointless paying to advertise anywhere only for people to find you and then leave straight away because you look unprofessional.

Cheers I've been bombarded by SEO junk emails and emails saying SEO is so yesterday so am truly confused, it took me long enough to find a website builder that I could fathom (123reg) and publish, it's not that terrible it's just not 'modern'? with everything it could be.

Just thinking that the web might not be the first place anyone looks for a builder / project manager

Best way to build is from word of mouth I'm afraid, get out there and get the name known. Get in touch with all your old trade contacts.

Is the company chartered or is it you thats chartered? also PI isurance is a must.

Yes it's Chartered and am just scouting around for Pi, going through 10 years of business cards at the moment getting a list together to start calling / hassling :p
