My good friend Eugene is hatching a master plan of a graphics project and I've told him OcUK will be all friendly to his cause. The brief asks him to put together a community piece, so he's collecting data on memory and music and then displaying the results in an interactive exhibition.

So, I ask of you dear Sir or Madame, to please name any song and the memory you have linked with it. If you think the song has a certain colour or perceived colour to you then add that, if not then just fill in the other three.

:
- Track
- Artist
- Significance to you
- Colour

Here's a wee snapshot of some so far.

It's also pretty cool to hear the responses and read the memory associated

Thanks, and thanks from Eugene!

Thank you. I chose also gave American Pie as it reminds me of my sister. Beautiful song choices :)

Both are in, here's a snippet:

Aha awesome. I saw Wheatus last September, dressed in a skeleton onesie at Swansea University. My ex had just moved there as a fresher. We had an argument as I got a little drunk and partied too hard with her friends, but Wheatus were great :D

- Heaven for Everyone
- Queen
- Played at my Dad's funeral, so I always think of him when I play it. It took me years to be able to listen to it after he died without feeling sad, but now it just makes me think of the good times.
- Blue

The year was 1970, I was 12 and my mate blasted Black Sabbath's Paranoid out of his Dad's hifi and my life was changed forever. He also played Led Zeppelin's Bron Y Aur Stomp which amazed me and then we left with me wondering how to get more.

(1 week later I was in a neighbours house, looked at his record collection and he sold me the first 3 Black Sabbath, first 3 Led Zeppelin and first 3 Uriah Heep albums for 50p each :))

That was exactly the same for me with American Pie. I couldn't listen to it for years but now it's a nice surprise when it comes on because it just reminds me of him.
