Haswell to to be a monster overclocker?

I have no doubt that these clocks are under LN2, but hopefully this bodes well for more average overclocking.

If I can realistically expect to get to around 5GHz I'll be very happy.

Yeah pricing should be as high as Ivy has ever been to begin with. Possibly higher if availability is limited (which I heard it might be, due to some problem with the USB 3.0 controller).

If I can get a new 4670k and a Z87 motherboard for less than £200 more than I can sell my 2500k and Z68 board for I'm in.

I hate this NDA ********.
8 Pack could give us some True data but he cant :(

If it does 5ghz on water i am buying one. If not i will stick with what i got or get myself some Ivy and de-lid it to see whats up with that.

There are plenty of Haswell in the channel. I know this for sure as Gibbo has told me this and OCUK will have stock on release to. I myself begin binning high numbers of retail in the next week or so.

As soon as I can I will share results and numbers.

air will probably be 4.8-5.0ghz

never that big jumps.

probably be 10 percent at best on ivy. hype train for sales coming soon :p

Assuming they dont fudge the die to ihs mounting method like on ivy im guessing at sandy clocks (4.8-50ish) but with the additional performance % (10% per revision) of the haswell architecture so im guessing around 20% clock for clock over sandy but with similar clocking options IF they dont cheap out

Well it;s good to have the latest when you play a tonne of cpu limited games like mmos where going near the average player hub brings quad 7970s to their knees.

Will be interesting to see what X99 has to offer.. I so do want to swap over to enthausist instead of the Z series xD

X99 is all rumors and speculation ATM, with nothing confirmed this close to the IB-E launch and new X79 boards on the horizon most people reckon X99 won't arrive (if it ever does) until Haswell-E.

ill take a rough guess at 5ghz being the norm,ib your limited to 4.6ghz-4.8ghz with a delidded chip

The thing I'm thinking doesn't make sense is, it doesn't matter how they attach the IHS of IB-E, it can't exactly outrun "naked" IB can it? so if these Haswell overclocking rumours are even half true then the 4770K is going to be dancing circles around the 4820K laughing at it :S
