Lexus is hardly a budget car brand is it...
It's a Toyota in drag.
My Honda certainly is a budget brand.
Anyway, what does it matter if someone wants something nice? We don't all have to drive around in a Mondeo you know.

Why would he want a Discovery when the Range Rover exists and he wishes to buy a luxury SUV?![]()
Lordrobs, yeah I did get annoyed with the A8 and 750i but those were from main dealers and under warranty. I was more frustrated by the lack of care by the dealer than the fact that they had niggles. The A8 was junk though. Friday afternoon car I think.

What's wrong with a Mondeo?
I wouldn't call Honda a budget brand either tbh but whatever.
Mentioning the word snobbery seems to have set you off, but it's definitely applicable in this thread.
Just wondering if you guys have considered the BMW & Audi options? I assume you have but interested to why you considered the above 2 over the BMW & Audi offerings?

You could get a far newer/nicer condition/mileage vehicle for that budget was my immediate thought, just not a Range Rover.
Based on your logic why buy any older car if you can get a different brand/vehicle which is newer and cheaper.
Anyway OP it looks like you have a RR itch that needs scratching. Go for it!

I appreciate that line of thought, but there has to be a line drawn somewhere and for the age and mileage that he's considering it would be a no go for me. The same goes in the other direction too, I haven't suggested that he goes out and buys a Kia instead have I?
I understand that my opinion isn't wanted, but then again, why bother posting here if he's just going to ignore everything he doesn't want to hear and just buy the battered old Range Rover anyway?![]()
I'm sorry since when did mileage equate to condition? I imagine there are plenty of high mileage examples that have lived most of their life on the motorway and as such are in pretty good condition. On top of that 100k miles in 7 years is not exactly moon mileage at just over 14k a year.
