Couple of annoying bugs; my alarm clock crashes when trying to change the settings (clearing data does not work) and it now does the same when trying to do a similar thing with a third party app. Need For Speed usually stalls on the main splash screen, most times I need to reset the phone and try again or close everything in the task manager.

Any solutions? The alarm clock one is especially annoying.
 
No problems with ads as long as they are sensibly placed and don't take an entire chunk of the web pageup but when they do then they need to go! :p

Don't mind the ads in apps as long as they aren't pushed to the notification bar and/or pop ups.

Where are you? I'm in Glasgow and have a spare sealed Vodafone S4 here if you're desperate. I got 2 delivered, one for me and the other for swmbo but I'm not sure I like it now after setting it up.
 
Is anyones S4 overheating?

I thought the firmware update had fixed my issue but it's still overheating. I just ran StabilityTest for about 6 minutes and the temperature shot up to 52 degrees. Would anyone mind running the test for 10 minutes and reporting their temps please?

Also has there been any word from Samsung as to if this will be fixed via a software/kernel update or not? In that case has anyone rooted and fixed the issue?

Hi all just received mine today, ordered yesterday from amazon black Sim free and received today at 7am ,

first thing screen protector, hate doing this, if i get even 1 dust stuck in, i have to take and try another !

Correction, my German Galaxy S4. I had to take off a few German apps including Bild and Mytaxi. When my sister got her phone, it came with a two-pin plug that transformed into a three-pin with a flexible third pin that could lie flat or at 90 degrees. Mine came with a two-pin plug, a separate black three-pin plug and two USB charging cables: a short white one and an ever so slightly longer black one.

With the black lead plugged into the supplied three-pin plug, the overall length is slightly shorter than my S2 mains charger.

Interesting they are sending out German ones. My post and been and gone this morning and surprise surprise...no phone! And it STILL hasn't tracked on the Royal Mail website. Giving them till 1pm before I write a strongly worded e-mail. Might just cancel out of principle now. Again, wouldn't have a problem if they were honest and said that it would be Tuesday. Its the fact I have gone out of my way to be in today and they have quite clearly lied to me about dispatch arrangements.

I take it the German phone is the same as the UK ones apart from some of the apps that have been installed etc? The phone itself working ok, no pink tints on the screen or anything?

All UK models are currently GT-I9505 regardless of network locks etc.

I read somewhere yesterday that Opera have solved text sizing in its latest update, I haven't tried it yet as liking FirefoxB and Chrome.

I feel for you Redfox! I am so glad I cancelled with ULM straight away when they hiked the price up and it seemed pretty obvious that they wouldn't be getting the phones dispatched on time. Having said that my experience with CPW was hardly plain sailing but I did get the phone on Tuesday with my free accessories so not all bad.
 
so e-mailed them and got reply:

"All parcels were sent, however, we are aware of 1 or 2 in this same state this morning.



We are currently looking into this with royal mail and will update you asap.



It appears some have not been sorted by royal mail. If this is the case we apologise and will refund any postage costs."

Oh its all Royal Mail's fault. Right. Sure. I'm sure they regularly forget to sort parcels which are matched as special delivery. All suspiciously from the same retailer. Getting a refund of £6 postage. Brilliant. That will cover two days inconvenience right enough.

Called tmobile a few times over the last few days and they won't budge from the full monty £36 plan aside from offering a £26 plan where the phones costs £290, no point there! Called local P4U and the phone is in stock, £579.99, go for it do you think? Shame there are no P4U offer codes!!

EDIT - The phones charges nice and quick, 10% to 95% in 1hr 35mins :cool:
