Warhammer 40k DOW 3?

Guys I love the dawn of war games- I've been trying to find out if there is going to be any updates or new games coming out but there has not been a sniff since the back end of 2011.

Does anyone know?

Well THQ went bust and rights to games got sold off. I heard the warhammer rights were sold to Sega so they might have some sort of warhammer total war in there sights.

Relic also went to sega. They have said recently there as a good chance of Dow 3, but it could be a while yet...

Reminds me I still need to finish DOW2 + DLC. Hopefully the brand will continue well through the new owners

If you do, I would highly recommend some of mods kicking about for DoWII, including Chaos Rising and Retri. Most increase squad sizes and weapon loadouts, found it much more enjoyable than vanilla.

I'm pretty sure I read an article that there is a strong chance that they will be making a new DOW game (might not be DOW 3 though)

[CR] Wrath of the Blood Ravens Add massive amounts of extra mobs aswell as lots of other things, can cause a fair bit of slow down on big missions but has been realy stable so far.

The Squad Mod 2.5 for DoW2 v2.2 & CR v2.3 Needs abit of tweaking to work, but great fun

Destroyer 40k (Grey Knights COMPLETED) Not played it yet, but looks fantastic. Retri only

Fair few others in varying forms of completion, check out the forums for the rest. With most of those mods i would highly recommend you play Captain difficulty or lower as almost all change damage/squad sizes in some way, which can bork the campaign. Full credit to the modders though, makes you wonder what they could do with a dev tools for DoWII

Sorry meant DoWII+Expansions, got them all in a steam sale

If they make DOW3 they better make it bigger. None of this 4 man tactical team nonsense. I want massive armies and epic scale...the way 40k is supposed to be.

Same here. Like the old Warhammer 40K Epic tabletop game.

Titans, Gargants and huge numbers of squads would rock.

So pretty much the first Dawn of War?

I was deeply disappointed with DoW 2, I too hope they focus more on scale if they're working on a sequel.
