hi all i have a question regarding a titan does the card use all the video memory. i was reading some cards dont use all the video memory whats on them dont fancy paying for a evga geforce gtx titan Superclock Signature Edition and finding out it does not use all the memory thanks to any replys you give me

 4! the question "is it worth it" is no, what could possibly be worth buying 4x Titans? 2x would more than cope with anything you could throw at it for a long time. You could then save the cash and get 2 of the next flagship cards when they arrive in a year or so.

Yes running 4 would be silly.

....

You plan to spend 2k on Graphics cards and haven't read anything about the up coming ones?

Its been said that nvidia are releasing the next in line... the 770 and 780.
Will be similar in performance of the titan albeit slightly slower but i would say at half the cost!

Just wait.

Unless your a troll :P

the board is 4-way tonester ill just buy two thanks for your help guys :)

You are correct, supports 4 cards (misread, and looked at the deluxe instead!)
the boad is 4 way if you use 2x dual gpu cards (hd 7990 or gtx 690), with Titan you are limited to 2 way sli.

And like Tonester said "4 cards" not 4 gpus :)
I got the board wrong, actually has 4 PCI-E 16x lanes.

then im sorry tonestar i wasnt fully understanding it

I hold my hands up :D
4 Cards would still be limited to your CPU though.

What kind of gaming setup do you have that requires so much grunt? 3x2560x1600?

Two titans will be sufficient for 5760 with or without 3D.

The new cards are released the end of May, with a price between $500-$750 and slower than the titans based on the same GK110 core, they will preform a lot better than the 680/670 at surround due to large memory bus. Waiting till then might pay off, as until real benchmarks and prices come it's pure speculation.

I wouldn't get more than 2 of them tbh as the scaling on the third isn't great and the fourth is purely for benchmarks from what I've seen as no game seems to use any more than 2 of them properly at the moment. Due to the price, I definitely wouldn't get more than two unless you are going to live in benchmarks instead of playing games.

In Crysis 3 the scaling is very good on 4 Titans.

One of the reasons they don't tend to scale well is you need to find games that are demanding enough to push them.

With Crysis 3 and 4 Titans you get @1600p maxed out, min 60, ave 80, max 100fps.

Yeah but theres literally a handful of games that actually use the 4th card at the moment though, which needs to be justified when looking at multiple cards imo.
