yup, just saying the desk doesn't need to have built in cable management. could just get the flat top and different pick and mix legs/units.

Ive never ever bought anything from IKEA i feel left out... its so overpriced.?? Isn't it really?

I tend to buy all mine from office furniture specialist places.

Hmm maybe not that particular Ikea stuff is dirt cheap

Its possibly the cheapest place I have ever been to. So cheap in fact that you can just upgrade stuff if you get tired of the colour etc..so it fits the Mrs perfectly...

That looks really good. Ikea is great as everything is interchangeable (and cheap) so you can pretty much spec it all your self. We spent an absolute fortune in there this weekend tbh...

ta :) yeah I don't know if they do it on purpose but so much of their stuff is compatible cross ranges..

depends what youre after, most of their modular/pick and mix kinda stuff is cheap. other bits like cabinets with glass doors can be pricey, we got our ikea tv unit second hand as it was expensive.

its cheap for a reason.

I built a desk a while ago from IKEA parts, Its fell to bits and smashed a 27" hazro.

Now i have a £300 L shaped solid wood desk with High strength metal Legs.

AAAAAAAH how will you cable manage that ... My eyes :p

Can't be worse than the present :D

Does'nt that just annoy you knowing it's there ... I almost want to come and cable manage for you :p
Yes it does but theres no point me sorting it out when im getting new stuff :p

I wouldn't put your rig and monitors on that, Will be as unsteady as hell.

I would push it up against a wall, install a wood baton under it and screw it all down, that way the legs wont have all the job

Rig definitely not going on it. Couple of monitors and tiny speakers thats it.
