Movies you are ashamed you really like

Most people here seem to think that there's something wrong with liking Chick Flicks? Why? It's not a bad film because it's a chick flick, and it's not a good film because it's a man's film. Obviously the Twilight films are bad AND chick flicks, but that's coincidental. Clueless (to pick one cited example) is actually a good film - but it ought to be, given the source. A better use for this thread would be bad films you like, rather than ones which you don't think are macho enough.

The Princess Bride may sound like a girly chick or kids flick, but its simply awesome, nothing shameful about it in the slightest.

Stepbrothers, or something else with Farrell in it, its borderline between awful and having enough awesome bits to be a good movie, where as something like ELf is just crap but has a few very funny bits in, not enough to make it remotely close to a good movie.

I liked Mamma Mia! too, although that is probably because I like Abba.
Enjoyed Coyote Ugly when I first watched it.
I saw P.S. I Love You in the cinema and thought it was really good, a bit cheesy but heartwarming nonetheless. It was that good I'll probably watch it again some day.

This is true, although Twilight is actually a good movie, it is the sequels that are bad. Although they should take credit on how closely they stuck to the books through out.

Jesus. Some people have some bad taste in films.

That would be true if they like nothing but 1 genre.

I enjoy Twilight movies, i admit it. If one has the conviction to loves something he should have the courage to admit it.

I also have plenty of "classic" in my collection, your typical Godfather movies, Requiem for a dream, Saving Private Ryan and what not. But if we are only allowed to like these films the world would be a very boring place. I have a very wide palet for movie, not just one genre. I can enjoy pretty much any types of films as long as they are done well.

I mean what do you like?

Just thought of another one, Pitch Perfect. Its a chick flick and it has singing. But it has Anna Kendrick who is future wife material.

I prefer to fan-edit of Pearl Harbor (US spelling, I know). I believe it is called the Strength & Honor edit. Basically it is the same film without the unnecessary love triangle thrown in. It makes it far better - although it does lack the lovely Miss Beckinsale. :)
