Trying to move as many titans as possible before the 780 comes out. ;) :D

Nope.

Titan is in current line up and their flagship single core SKU. If we were trying to clear Titans, we'd not have purchased them in the first place. ;)

780 replaces 680 and is slower than Titan.

People that buy 7950s aren't really the market place that the Titan is aimed at.

+1

Its aimed at people who want the best SINGLE core card and don't care about spending money to get it.

Just like how the 7990 is the BEST card over all, and you have to be in the mind set to pay that much for it.

I wish I could justify a Titan but Haswell is about to launch.

Sure...just not at its price point...

You have to factor in though that a GTX770 will outperform a 680 and cost less, so the 780 coming in at a higher price point reflects more on the lineup range shifting than prices. I mean its not like this is a new gen with new prices, its a refinement of existing tech with better value for money like the Geforce 9xxx series.

Ain't the current rumor that's going around is that the 770 is just a "factory overclocked GTX680" that will replace 680's price bracket?

i thought the 770 was a rebadged 4gb 680?

Its a GK104-425 as opposed ot the 680's GK104-400-A2, but it has the same amount of CUDA Cores, TMUs and ROPs, just a higher base clock, so its slightly faster and is rumoured to cost slightly less, better than nothing right?

Given the choice out of a Titan, GTX 690 or HD 7990 I would pick a GTX 690 every time for anything up to 1600p. For anything above 1600p I would go for the Titan.
