Hi guys. I just want to know if the Palit GeForce GTX 680 Jetstream 2GB is an ok card ?

Alternatively I can get an Asus GeForce GTX 670 Direct CU II 4GB or an EVGA GeForce GTX 670 2GB.

I’ve got 2X Palit GeForce GTX 680 Jetstream 4GB CARDS, i have had them from elease date, i did have a 3rd but was overkill, i personally like hem, the looks and performance.. Under full load they run very quiet and almost silent on desktop use...

Sounds good ! :D

I am also thinking about the Asus GTX 670 4GB card to the same price. I know the GTX 680 2GB is a bit faster, but would it be a more sensible investment to get the GTX 670 4GB for some of the future games ?

It's a good card. Factory overclocked, beefed up vrm's compared to the reference card and a capable cooler. That's a very good price too. Just be aware that it's a triple slot card.

Loving my GTX 670 jetstream. Before i slapped the waterblock on i tested it for a couple of hours using valley benchmark looped. Max temp was 73 degrees at 62% fan speed.

Damnit crap... I get to the store and they're sold out of the Palit cards, but I can get the Asus GeForce GTX 670 Direct CU II 4GB for the same price + Assins creed as a bonus... but then I'm not sure if it's really worth changing my MSI GTX 660 TwinForzr III OC 2GB card for that one...

Clock for clock the 670 is only around 5% slower than the 680...

The Direct CUII cards normally clock pretty well (the two I had did anyway).

Either the 670 or 680 will offer a noticable improvement over your 660.

Okay so going from the GTX 660 2GB to GTX 670 4GB will be beneficial for me - also considering the price ? :)

IIRC the 670 is around 40% faster than the 660 at the same resolution / settings. Whether this is worth the outlay to you is a different question.

Unless you were going SLI or running Skyrim with a lot of texture heavy mods I wouldn't bother with a 4GB 670/680 anyway. The EVGA 2GB model for £238 will offer just as much performance as the more expensive 4GB model at the same clockspeed.

I have the faster Asus 670 DirectCU II GTX670-DC2T-2GD5 with the default of 1058mhz and it boosts to 1200mhz. The 4gb is slightly slower out of the box.

I would wait.

Personally I would hold off for the new cards but I'm not you and your not me because if u where you would be sat here in latex and nipple tassels playing womb raider i mean tomb raider damn u LtMatt......

I decided to purchase the*Asus*GeForce*GTX 670*Direct CU II 4GB. I won't be getting a Gtx780 or gtx770 since they probably will cost well over £400. And prices for gtx 680 will likely be dropping to the same price level as the sale price was for the Palit gtx 680 today.

Maybe later this year i can get another cheap gtx 670 4GB for sli.

As already suggested, only go for the 4 GB if you are going to SLI in the future. If not, the 680 sounds like a sweet deal.

Not a bad choice - the 670 is a great choice and with 4 GB you have some in-built future-proofing right there, especially when you go SLI in the future.
There not going be any difference with SLI between a 2GB and 4GB GPU card..

More vram will only make a difference when gaming at very high resolutions.
