I have one tonight in London. Never been to one before. Anyone know what they actually do, apart from maybe run through the game show with a load of other people and see how you do, or will it be like a big brother style interview re: how crazy are you, are you good for tv?

I haven't. But I would imagine they vary dramatically from show to show, depending on channel, production company etc. Just be yourself! :)

I love how TV shows audition people to see if they're worthy to be on TV to win a prize. Surely it should be a case of you apply, name comes out of hat, you get a shot? *shrug*

I know, you should have seen the application form. It was worst than any job interview/application process.

I just wish it was for Catch Phrase, honestly must be the most easiest game show to win a shed load of money on EVER !!

You need to be TV material, being a boring, introvert such as myself would not make good television.

I went on a game show audition, we got put in a large office, you meet the director, he told us the rules of the game, we played a test game, the put us down to see if we were interesting.
The problem is, they don't just audition your group, they interview from all over the country, and then choose their favourites. Such a waste of time.

One of my brother-in-laws friend and his family went on Telly Addicts and never got a single point ( a record)

He then went on Weakest Link and was asked.

"Solo is an anagram of which Scandinavian capital"

to which he replied

"Stockholm"

and was rightfully voted off as the weakest link.

Went to an interview for the million pound drop a couple of years back. Was basically some questionnaires to see how much you know about a range of subjects, followed by a 2 minute video where you explain who you are etc.

I didn't get called on the show, nor did any of the other 10+ couples we were in the room with. I like to think it was due to me being to smart, rather than boring haha.

I was invited to an audition for The Chase.

We had to do a 1 minute piece into the camera talking about ourselves, then another minute about how we'd 'taken a risk' in our lives and how it panned out.

Then as a group of about 10 we were asked questions from the show and asked to explain our answers - again all whilst being filmed. Finally there was a 5 person team challenge which was the same as the last round of the show (answer as many questions as possible in 2 minutes), which we scored 31 - which if we were on TV would have won easily :)

I was shortlisted to the final 150 for the series (from over 10,000) but didn't hear anything further :(

I would like to go on Deal or No Deal and just keep picking the boxes in sequential order in the fastest possible way.

But unless you have crack pot theories or special superstitious about numbered boxes I don't think they would let you on.

The fact that Deal or No Deal is still on is a definite sign of the reduction in human intelligence.

IT'S 1 HOUR OF OPENING NUMBERED BOXES, PEOPLE.
