You made a statement, I asked a direct question and you responded with some inconsequential nonsense.

You say it should be a rape offense to not use protection, then say women cannot rape and completely implode when faced with an example that is not so clear cut. You cannot legislate for children as if they have the foresight and experience of adults or the overprotectiveness of a father for his daughter.

I never said women can not rape, You suggested they can not.
I am fine with the age of sexual consent being 16.
I would like everything possible to be done to ensure and drum it into their heads that protection is a must and not just to stop pregnancy.
If that means classing unprotected sex as rape between anyone under the age of 18 or making a new law then so be it.

if 16-18 year olds can not be responsible and mature enough to be using protection we need to enforce it the best we can for their own protection and well being.

maybe the "RAPE" thing is a bit harsh and some other crime could be invented but everything possible should be done to encourage or scare young impressionable naive teenagers into using protection for their own good.

Scaring them doesnt work. Imprisoning them will just destroy their lives and is absolutely ridiculous. Education is whats needed...as always.

I never said the sentence would be prison. I was just using RAPE as an example.
They could be forced to attend sexual health courses etc as punishment instead educate them and make them aware why protection is so important something schools seem scared to do

you know like speeding/dangerous drivers are sometimes forced to attend courses on road safety

should be similar to how it is in some states of 'merica.

if you're under 21 it's 16+
if you're over 21 it's 18+

except more like:

if you're under 21 it's 14+
if you're over 21 it's 16+

yea we read it and then someone came with the bright idea that we don;t find it acceptable because its not and we were brought up this way.

someone tried using spain as an example even though currently the spanish goverment is pushing for the age of sexual consent to be raised.

once I made that aware he moved onto thailand or some other backwards country where pedos like to take holidays.

Some people seem to keen on having the age of consent lowered even further......

Legally, they cannot. You said that it should be considered rape and when challenged on it you posted the above. Either it's a misunderstanding or what you originally meant to say is that boys should be charged with rape, which is the logical conclusion to jump to given how overprotective you seem of your own daughters.

Sexual consent does not have an element of duality to it. It's not regular sex at 16 but no buttplay until you're 18 or oral until you're 21. The age of consent is exactly that, the age at which you can consent to sex and however you go about it is your prerogative. If anything, you just muddy the waters by caveating it.

The law is just messed up anyway. Think about it: you can't drink until you're 18, but you can have sex when you're 16. And you're not allowed to drive until you're 17. Would love to know the reasoning behind all this.

The best one is, you can have sex at 16, but cant watch porn till you're 18. So its technically breaking the law to watch amateur porn starring yourself.

I would charge the woman. Despite what the media says, women are just as crazy about sex as men. And it's usually the woman who tempts the man into it.

No it's not. You can't PURCHASE 18 certified films or media, the law doesn't say you can't watch it.
