Crazy dog walker

I can't stand the things and would have reacted the same way as the OP. !

What given it billy big ******** thinking someone wouldn't react to your intimidation tactics, then backing down when someone reacts to it? Yep, typical keyboard warrior bully type I guess.

I have a M&S suit its a "performance suit" i have to work in dusty server rooms and carry switches around and stuff like that so can't be wearing expensive suits. But i don't think i would spend more than £200 on a suit, just a waste.

Dust is fine, but a dog licking you is too far. Okay.

Lol at thread - I did immediately think of this though

That is probably the first prank call i ever heard on the internet, sometime in the late 90's

Anyway, i don't think i've ever seen a dog randomly lick anyones leg ever! i would have just shook my leg to make sure the dog realises that if he comes near me his in for a kicking

OP sounds like a complete tool....

you come a close second

Why? Just because I haven't been conditioned to love dogs like 90% of the country, doesnt mean I should tolerate these things.

Honestly, if there's one thing worse than a dog, its a dog owner. They should tax/fine these morons for polluting the environment and causing public disturbances. An overwhelming majority of dog owners Ive come across seem completely obvlivious to what their dogs are doing when in public. You might be happy for your dog to lick your body parts, but it sure as hell isnt something everyone would be happy with.

Have to agree with this. I wish dogs would just mind their own business while I have to walk past them. Admitedly, most are controlled while in towns but I have to walk through a park to my town centre and it seems almost impossible to get through without being licked or jumped on. :p Dog spit smells bad and they rub mud all over your trouser legs. Then again I've had OCD and always been apprehensive of dogs. But would just like to point out that not everyone is happy to have their private space invaded by a dog. I probably wouldn't have said anything in OPs situation, but I would have been annoyed.

What's the going rate for a good suit?

SO far as I'm concerned Non-Tailored £100-£200 Tailored you're Talking at least £700 for Jacket and Trousers alone. I've a Nice Non-Tailored Linen one from M&S which I actually got for about £80 at the time i was still working there (Gotta Love the Staff Discount:p) and a £200 woolen Suit can't remember where I got it form as for the tailored front I'm still searching for a good tailor!

As for the OP you should've licked the "crazy" mans leg and asked how he liked it :p

I third this, some dog are nice and well behaved, but most are vile creatures that try to slobber all over you. Cats are way better

Whether a dog is friendly or unfriendly, the dog haters will hate.

Yeah, I'm sure the likes of tx3 think they're incredibly clued up, but the fact is, your opinions are based on negative stereotyping, selective vision and sheer ignorance.

Of course, you won't agree with this because you're the smart ones, right?

Of course! As a smart person i require a smart pet that has a brain of it own like a cat. Not some mindless hound that does what you say ;)

I've been around a crap load of dogs in my time that belong to friends and family, how can it be ignorance then?

But beware anyone who offens your little pouchi poos

So now it's the polarized cats vs dogs debate? Of course it is. This is GD.
Like people, some dogs are seemingly mindless, most aren't.
You just can't win with people like you. Either a dog is mindless or it's a robot obeying orders. You seem to have picked both at once...

Fwiw, I like dogs and cats, but it's black OR white around here it seems...

I used to be wary and fearful of dogs until I moved into shared house with a guy that owned a german shepard.
As soon as I stopped being the kind of idiot that lets fear, ignorance and preconception do his 'thinking' for him, I started to see the dog for what he was; A sensitive, intelligent and friendly animal that deserved to be treated as such.
Without that year or so of learning experience, I wouldn't have a dog today and I'm very grateful for it.

If I thought like you, I wouldn't have the pleasure/honour of 'owning' a clever, friendly dog who has managed to convert a good few anti dog people in her time. Of course, there are always those beyond help.

Bottom line; Fix up, show some love and stop being so concerned with being the smart arse and winning arguments on the internet :)
