Ok greg. Thanks for that.
@Kap
The Ares II has a stock boost clock of 1100mhz that would explain its results when compared to a ghz edition card which is 1050mhz.
LOL @ Titan, £900 a pop and less than two months old, and already obsolete at the top end.

You do realise that the Ares II and the 7990 are dual chip cards or are you just acting this thick on purpose? 3 Titans against 3 7990's or Ares II will be a win for the Titans.
in the review preamble it looks like they are saying the following clocks for the "OC" results;
7970GE OC 1160/7160
Ares II OC 1200/7200
I think if LtMatt had a HD 7970 that could only do 1160/7160 he might be a little disappointed.
Thracks says the majority of 7970's clock between 1100mhz-1200mhz so its only an average overclock but still a 110mhz core boost over stock which is not bad, and thats before you consider its real default clock of 925mhz.
this is train crash forum debating, I can't watch anymore
truly cringe worth

You're saying two Titans are faster than two 7990's? I don't buy it.
Knew it wouldn't take long for the same suspects to start with the baiting.
Please guys not another amd vs nvidia argument thread.
