Just turn it on, you don't have to charge the phone before you use it. It should come with enough charge out the box for you to have a good play around with it.

Mine didn't - it came with a fully discharged battery.

ARRRGH, had the phone 24 hours now and still not actually able to use it as a phone! Upgrading from my S2 and was told to continue using my old SIM card until it stopped working at which point use the new one.
Only problem is my current SIM isn't a "micro-SIM". Orange website just throws a technical error when I try to do the 'SIM Swap' online and I've called them a couple of times but I refuse to wait anymore than 10 minutes on hold (especially when it isn't a free phone number).
Why did they have to change the size of the SIM card FFS? Was the 'old' one too big or something? Is it so they can make the phone 0.000000001 grams lighter or something?
My friend said you can just cut my current down to size but I'm reluctant to do that as if I mess it I'll have no phone at all.

Can you get to an orange store? or if you call customer services from your mobile it should be free.
Or download the template from Giffgaff and cut it to size. Done it myself with success.

Finally got through to Orange, they said that CW have set my new SIM to register Sunday night. Until then I can either carry on using my S2 or just bite the bullet and cut it!
That does indeed look like a very nice case. Interested to see how you fair.
