Stupid Cyclist!

Good come back.

The point about cyclists increasing fuel usage for faster road users is true but completely unavoidable and pointless thinking about. Plus it's overshadowed by all the other obstacles on our road networks. E.g. other slow traffic (lorries, tractors) traffic lights, junctions etc. Until the roads are fully automated (like something from iRobot!) it's just a fact of road transport.

It was that full of nonsense it didn't deserve a comeback:p

Someone turning right out of a junction needs to look both ways. That is the difference. If you were facing someone turning right out of a junction, would you slow down in case they pull out in front of you?

I never do unless they are a cyclist. No appreciation of closing speed.

90% of cyclists may be good but 10% are dangerous. 99.99% of drivers do what you expect.

on motorbike, so throttle off a little bit, check mirror and be ready to swerve. they pout in a swerve/avoidance into the mod 1 test for a reason, every so often car drivers just completely miss you.

i do think there should be a cbt style thing before being allowed to ride a bike on the road over say 16 (under 16 maybe a training day or two in school)

I get that all the time where I live (When trying to enter the side road where I live).

Maybe one of the Motorcyclists here could enlighten me as to why So Many Bikers take "Slowing down and indicating right" as an invitation to overtake??

Of course if you HAD turned and he had hit you it would have been your fault for "Not Looking Properly"

seen a lad at work do it once, but in that case he was going way too fast, and the car indicated a little late and basically slammed on for the turn, seemed like their passenger must have just gone "that's it there!!" last minute.

so because of his stupidity going to fast and the drivers action his choices where, slam in the back of them, or try and swerve around an hope to make it.
