If you missed the last thread, here it is

http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18510913

This thread has turned into a support / problem finding thread and thankfully the card was replaced.

This thread is for those that wanted benches from the card.

The card is massive, but luckily fits into the top slot of my case in between my water loop tubing. It comes as standard 1000 GPU and 1500 Memory clocks and voltage unlocked although I have yet to play with the voltage.

These benches were taken with a mild overclock of 10% ish giving 1100 GPU and 1600 Memory OC.

The fans on full pelt are not too loud, in fact quieter than my Sapphire 7950 VaporX card.

The temperature operation of the card is fairly high and maxes around the 85 mark on large benches, but the card does handle it well and the heat spreader back plate is very effective at cooling.

Obviously not as good as 2 individual 7970 but that was not the point of me buying the card, so all the haters, please bite your tongue or don't spoil the thread thanks. Hopefully when I get used to the card, these numbers can be pushed a bit further.

Ok so some quick benches. I will add more as I do them

3930K CPU OC to 4.8Ghz with 32GB 1866 RAM : Asus PB8Q IPS monitor at 2546x1140
Catalyst 13.4 with Cap 1
Sapphire 7990 stock air cooling.

3DMark 11 (free benchmark)

More to come.

Good stuff Cat.

You should use 13.5 beta 2 drivers. Caps are already included in that release so you won't need them separately.

It is good to see the benches, are you going to post some in the individual bench threads when you are ready.

A good bench to run on your card would be 3dmark vantage, you should score well on it.

Good luck with your card, glad you got everything sorted out.:)

Well done on getting it all sorted and all's fine.

Still can't believe it cost more than double my equivalent setup, but all that power in one slab is an achievement at the end of the day and was the reason you wanted the change. :)

Might wanna dust your components with an compressed air can, or get some dust filters!

Also, I would use two thumb screws to secure such a heavy hard to the case, rather than just one!

Nice benchmarks, glad your happy with it :D

Not sure if yoy have it set up properly? It is scoring very low in the 3Dmark results and only just beating a Titan.

Hopefully, not to much of an issue to sort.

Yes noticed the low scores. Not sure what I might have wrong.

Using the free 3dmark11 bench tests only and my default screen res is 2560 IPS. Other than that, not sure what else to check.

Might upgrade to catalyst 13.5 beta

Your Firestrike graphics score seems low to me. I get 13200 with stock 670 Sli cards. I would have thought a 7990 would be higher than this ?

yeah scores are low, not sure what is going on here.

On plus side, currently each core is pushing 670 k/hashes on Litecoin mining. With some more tweaking might get 700+ each

You got it for mining and without having a clue how mining works (me that is), you sound pleased with those results and that is all that matters. Some might tell you that you wasted your money or it costs double what their setup costs but at the end of the day, you don't need to justify it to anyone except yourself.

Enjoy Cat :)

Indeed. What a terribly bitter comment.

@OP: Enjoy mate - card is a stonkingly huge beast.

Don't forget to increase the power slider as well Cat just to make sure the card is not throttling in anyway.

Ok narrowing it down.

DRIVERS : Catalyst 13.5 beta causes the benches such as 3DMark 11 to fail, 13.4 is ok and is needed as a minimum to get the card recognised.

Trixx 4.6 (and all versions) cannot display the cards GPU or memory clocks and so is useless.

AfterBurner has problems applying clocks to both cards whether you use single or multiple GPU settings.

Looks like a driver problem. Going to find that other overclocking tool that the titan people use and see if that helps PrecisionX
