grrrrrrrrrrr

i knew it!! wife's phone stopped taking a charge, i had read a thread on here about repair centers saying its water damaged so i opened the phone and videoed the insides including the untouched water damage indicator. Sent it away via phones4u and got a voicemail today saying it is water damaged and being returned to me... lies lies lies

I think Anovo / A Novo UK Ltd are the ones who people were saying are sending phones back saying they're water damaged

Something similar happened to my cousin recently, Vodafone sent his iPhone away which kept dropping signal, not sure where they sent it and they said they can't replace it as the inner chassis want bent? When it clearly wasn't as he complained a lot and they gave in and sent him a replacement phone

Yay another victim of the cowboys that are Anovo.

How these fraudsters are still in business is beyond me.

Samsung nearly always use 3 - One on master board, one on battery (bottom, white) and one... near the USB?

the one near my usb is triggered for e.g. so i would check that one first! its really easy to trigger it due to it sitting right below the port and mine never actually touched the water! i think it might be your usb charging board and its dead easy to replace ifit is seperate like the one on s2

from what i gathered it only has one on the galaxy nexus

is that galaxy nexus ?
when I had mine, mine stopped taking charge as well - that day guy at work spilled tea on it but in the end it wasn't water damage.
Like yours, it just stopped charging and was fixed by o2 on warranty.

I even bought mobo for it on ebay to try and fix it myself - it was only £12 or so on bay

I keep reading about anovo, they seem like a bunch of thieves and liars, record all phone contact but tell them first as it's then usable.

I though messing with hardware (opening to get access to the mainboard etc) would void warranty anyway

possibly but during my video i state i am doing this for my own protection as i believed i was lied to before and wanted to protect my interests. GLAD i did, i will cross that bridge if and when i have too, but i would think i will have some barging power by then anyway

going to fwd to ofcom, watchdog or whoever else i can find as well once its resolved. what makes me angry is they did this before and i had to just bend over and take it... terrible i wonder how many others lose out due to lies or faulty sensors/stickers that go off with the english weather ect ect
