I'm a tree killer now

Rilot, looks great, loving the poppy ;)

Out of interest, what have you budgeted for running costs? Is it basically stick 2k a year ontop of 'normal' costs like fuel, insurance, servicing, tyres ? (Accepting all those are higher than normal !)

Oh yeah, the reverse camera doesn't work so I used that as a bargaining point.
I was planning to replace it with the high-res 2010 camera anyway so cool.

I'm expecting about that yes as I'll do most of my own repairs.

One of the first jobs to do will be to replace the transmission cooler and do a gearbox and diff fluid replacement. That will be about £500 if I do it properly.

I'm sure you know it but use the Dunlop bags when they go (and they will if they haven't been done yet)

Nice car - personally I would have gone for the 07 facelift to get the more modern dash etc but still an excellent car - its a fairly simple car compared to an S class or E65 etc, heck compared to the P38, the L322 seems fairly reliable in my experience providing you start with a cherished example, and make sure you don't buy a TD6.

I would have liked an 07 model but that would have meant selling either my bike or my S2000 to raise the extra cash. I just took the cash for this one from my slush fund.

Why are you a tree killer?

Nice example though, love the presence these things have.

Bad for the environment. Kills trees with its emissions.

Ironically, CO2 is actually good for trees :)

I have to give my 2 pence, I'm not a fan, I imagine it's lovely inside, lovely to drive around in, but I don't see the need for it, a nice estate would be just as good in 9 out of 10 situations.

Each to their own though enjoy!
