gran turismo 5 load times still rubbish after install

I don't get this, I have installed gran turismo 5 onto my 500gb hdd but the load times are the same, its like nothing has happened.

What settings should I have to get the faster load times? Are you supposed to get faster load times in every area of the game eg before the start of a race (this takes forever)?

Can someone provide assistance with getting this to work, is it supposed to be a night and day difference or is it incredibly subtle?

Have you actually installed everything? I remember that when I first put my GT5 disc in, it did a load of installing, but then still continued to install stuff every time I loaded something new. (It would say 'installing' in the bottom corner during the load) If I loaded the same track for a second time, it would be slightly faster. I think you could go into the options menu and make it install everything to avoid this 'on-the-fly' installing. But even once everything was installed, it's not very fast. Then there was a patch ages ago that improved things slightly, but it was mostly just displaying the loading differently - it would load the track very quickly and then display it before all the cars had loaded. So in the end you still had to wait to race, but at least you had some scenery to look at. Maybe you are expecting too much?

The only real way to speed it up is to run your PS3 with an SSD.
 
I'm talking about having gone into the options menu and making it install everything.

I've done that and it seems exactly the same as before, so I thought something was wrong.

Its just when I go to a race, it takes forever for all the drivers to load I just wanted that bit to speed up.

I was thinking about getting an SSD for my PS3 when I had this they times ****ed me off that much. Then I found out that SSD's don't improve load times on the PS2. :(
