£400 low end gaming PC with monitor!

Is it really

The PSU isn't great to be honest, isn't even bronze rated. The H61 mobo most likely doesn't have sataIII (there are only a few exceptions that do) to make the most of SSDs. Infact some H61s don't support Ivybridge CPUs without a BIOS update either.

The 7750/7770 isn't great value. I used the 650Ti boost for a reason. If he is on a tight budget he should try and hunt down a 1GB 460 on the MM (should be around £50ish) which overclocks well and will soundly spank the 7750/7770

bah didnt see your spec, (the 1 with the pentium and the 650) that is better!

Memory is missing though...

Also for £60, a Ivy Pentium G2120 3.10GHz can be had instead of the Sandy Pentium G840 3.00GHz...but of course, not sure if that Gigabyte board will support Ivy CPU.

Well spotted!! I did click buy on 4GB of RAM not sure why it didn't add into the basket....although even Gibbo said he had problems :/ The G2120 (basically equal to a SB i3 minus the HT) is £70ish here and as you say it needs a mobo that's happy with Ivy.

It doesn't even look like the guy is buying from OCuk. He seems set on that tiny case which in turn limits his mobo choices. £400 is an extremely tight budget for a gaming rig especially as the screen is eating massively into that budget (could he not use a HDTV for now perhaps?).

Hopefully now he understands how to strike a balance between the CPU and GPU.
