To keep up my weightloss and fitness plan I have treated myself to a new bike

Wanted one like my old cruiser with gears and upright riding position and one I could nip to the shops on.

Anyone else own a TREK? Are they decent enough for the price? I wanted one sub £300 and got this for £279

Pick it up next week.:)
 
Looks like a bargain.

Trek are a great brand, one of the three biggest in the world, and their quality / service should be good. They do everything from commter bikes to £10k time trial bikes.

Of course the only downside is that Lance Armstrong rode a Trek.
 
I've got a Trek 4500 MTB had it for a few years and love it, much nicer than the cheap crap I used to ride when I was younger.
 
ew you tool all the fun of cycling by buying that :d

i can nip to shops on my bmx with no way to sit.. or my roadie.

Good news..I liked the look of it...It's retro with a bit of modern thrown in.:)
 
They are expensive but you never see them second hand.

Apparently Vaude ones are nearly as good.

Depends what you want though; size, internal pockets, looks, etc.

I have an Ortlieb dry bag for my motorbike...Guess The Classics will do...Buy cheap buy twice when it comes to stuff like this.
 
Installed the free runkeeper app on my phone last night.

Went for a pootle....10.75 miles :p

Love this app..Gives time, average speed, climb, calories, etc...and maps out the route on google maps that you sync with your online runkeeper account.

Keeps things interesting.Talks to you on the way informing your of miles ride time etc...
