OK i was think of upgrading my CPU to an i5 and just wanted to know the pros/cons of the 2500k and 3570k before making a decision.

Thanks

high clock speeds
better integrated graphics
supports faster memory
only 22 nm
Im not sure if the 3570K is a better overclocker
OEM 3570K is the same price as 2500k Retail

this plus:
3570K enables pci-e 3.0.
usually without overclock the 3570K runs cooler, when overclocked the 2500k runs cooler.

Well it depends.

If you have a 2500k then there is no point in getting a 3570k, the gains will be marginal.

If you can get a 2500k second hand for £115-130 then it is worth considering if you are on a budget, then again you might be able to get a second hand 3570k for £140.

If you have the cash to spend, there is literally no reason at all, ever, to even consider the the possibility or even acknowledge the existence that is the 2500k :p
