Hi,
I know there are some pretty smart people on here and I'm fairly sure my TV is fixable, so I'm going to do a DIY job on it and would really appreciate some help.
The TV is a LG 50PK350 50" plasma. I've had it around 2.5 years from new. When I turn it on, there is no picture but the sound comes on. If I keep turning it on an off (often for up to 20 minutes of doing this), eventually the picture will come on and it will work until it is put on standby or turned off. I think actually that it may be the lamp not always turning on, I don't know if I can see a picture when it's not working but very feint, or if I am imagining it (it's that dark if it is there).
I would think it will cost a fortune to send it back to LG, and it won't be under warranty so i'm going to give it a go myself. I'll post up pictures along the way.
Anyone know where to start? I'll take off the back, take some pictures of it and look for anything that looks blatantly wrong. I'll be back soon with some pictures, but anyone with experience would be really appreciated!
