I'm a tree killer now

I love mine - don't especially like the image, but I do like the driving position and effortless 'waft'. They seem to shrink the longer you have them too :)

I am already loving it. Both me and the mrs think it's great and don't mind that it's going to cost a packet to run. From the brief time we've spent in it, we both agree it's going to be worth it.

I suffer from claustrophobia mildly and have been known to get a bit panicky when stuck in traffic. In this thing I can see over everything else apart from buses and trucks. An unexpected benefit.

yes thats true..its a great and safe feeling place to be. :D I want another now!

I would have gone for a lighter interior myself (mine was Chawton white on parchment), but it sounds like you have a well looked after car with no expense spared.. so that counts for more than the cosmetics.

Nice. Glad to see the year-round Poppy too!

That is now gone.
As soon as we get some nice weather I'm going to hit it with the rotary and get the nasty swirls out.

It's seriously quick for it's size. Wasting someone in a lowered Fiesta off the lights on the way home won't get old.

Which P&R? A friend of mine commutes daily to the JR and leaves her Range at Pear Tree P&R.

Seacourt is the nearest to me, the height restriction is signed as being too low, but Rilot is right, it would get in there in access mode :)

If you crawled at 5mph :D I think it reverts to normal height over 5mph, no?

yeah I dont remember exactly, but the extended lift would reset after something like 40mph, and the access height was much lower. You could lock it in Highway mode though, which is slightly lower than normal height.

TBH i have not RTFM at all, i am not sure what all the modes are.

My only observations from driving around is that when getting up to speed highway mode lights up (around 30mph), and if i manually raise to full height i get a message on my screen saying MAX 30mph.

Access mode i have only tried with no gas (just crawl in D on the brake) to get into the garage i wanted to use. I am going to raise the roof on that though in time as i cant be bothered with using the suspension settings.

Youve got it just about then.. when in Highway mode you can press the round button in the center of the ride height switch and itll lock in to that height until you press it again.

On the drivers door there is a button near the mirror, hit that and if you stop within a certain distance (30m?) the car automatically goes into access mode when you stop.

Need more details on your new one too Jez - what did you go for in the end?

Mine's an 06 so highway-mode doesn't enable until 100mph
Seems rather silly that they raised the speed for the >2006 models.

Well, its there as a safety mechanism to improve stability at speed.. Perhaps the 06+ didn't need it as much! Anyway, SC models have improved suspension over the standard so I am sure you are not missing much :) The Highway speed drop is hardly noticeable, and its not a car you want to me taking corners/bends at speed in anyway

That does seem silly, i know mine wont ever see 100mph which would make that mode useless if mine was set to that.

I doubt many ever do :/
