Hi, having played DayZ at my friends house I want to get into PC gaming.. I know it is a more expensive platform father than consoles but mainly just want to play dayz(arma 2/3) and dayz standalone when it comes out (which I believe is going to run a lot better than the dayz mod?)

Anyway, I have a budget of about £375 which I dont really want to budge too much from, I was hoping to get medium-high graphics when playing games?

I won't need any of the peripherals like mouse/keyboard/monitor etc so It's just for the tower..

I'm not too clued up as to what pcu works best with what mobo or gpu etc so will need a fair bit of help :)

THANKS :D look forward to seeing what you guys come up with

Yeah that looks good tbf, I've put a list together myself.. I think im best off with that A10 chip with dedicated graphics :)

Am i best off with 500gb hdd though? save the money then as I need to get a copy of windows aswell :(
Also, can I not use the normal cpu cooler, is the upgraded one needed? thanks

The motherboard and PSU will come with all the cables you will need.

Thermal paste comes with the cooler.

Motherboard has DVi, Dsub and HDMI

Oh nice one! so this is the best build Im gonna get for the price? And it will all run smoothly together? Nothing to change? cheers for the help!

So will this setup run dayz on medium graphics 30+fps? Im guessing when the standalone comes out it will run even better because the mod isnt well optimized?

I have been searching but is the memory stated in the list only compatible with intel cpu's cause thats what it says on the description? What memory do I need for my cpu?

There will be a couple of settings on the ram that only applies to Intel, like XMP Profile, but quite a lot of AMD Boards can read these profiles anyway. Like above, DDR3 is DDR3, not made for a specific CPU, all just marketing :)

What resolution is your current monitor? (Or model if res is not known)

The A10 5800K is a great chip and with that cooler should be fairly cool too!

Assembly is rather easy, if it fits, then thats where it goes!

Oh okay thanks for clearing that up haha, I'm guessing I will need to tune the memory to run at 2000mhz? And I'll probably be playing on my hd 32inch tv for a bit until I buy a Moniter will that be okay? So there is nothing here you would change? Cause I'm Gonna order this week! Also is it 64 bit windows 7 I will need? Sorry for all the questions I'm just a noob when it comes to building pcs lol thanks

Hi,

If you don't have an operating system like Windows, Linux etc your computer will just be a nice collection of hardware. You could use Windows 8 Enterprise Edition Trial Edition for 3 months if you wanted in order to get the system up and running until you can buy an OS.

I was thinking of getting windows 7? But it's £80 :/ may aswell just go for it

That Gigabyte board will be able to read the memory sticks XMP profile and set the voltage, speed and timings for you.

You just have to select the XMP profile within the BIOS.
