The value in this though would come if another company (basically Pepsi) would pay for the formula... they won't, its not worth 5 million....

Its worthless essentially as anyone can make some alternative 'coke' anyway its got very little chance of competing against the real thing... its just marketing.

I have seen recipes online before. Some of the ingredients are very pricey to buy and hard to source. I think it ends up costing more than to just buy the real thing.

Also you have to mess about with Phosphoric acid.
