It is very simple just ask the people who make the product in the factories for the recipe . I am sure they would sell it for a lot less. I would hazard a guess that because of the magnitude this stuff is mixed at. It's most likely cheaper to buy a can than actually make it with your own ingredients.

I watched a Megafactories episode on Coca Cola and you would have to go around 100's of workers who could tell you the truth of what they do but the chances of getting the exact recipe is nil.
This is true, considering the brand is huge. But if the drink had a noticeable change of taste - I wouldn't assume it would be as popular. Unless the taste was even more awesome.
