Had my computer for around 2 years and never had a problem with any of the parts. However over the last few weeks i have started to notice a smal issue. When I press the power button normally the machine would more or less power on instantly. Over the last week or so however when I press the power button it is taking around 10 seconds for the machine to power on. Should I be concerned with this? The last thing I want Is for the PSU to blow and take several of my components with it. My power supply is an xfx black edition 750w.

That is weird, does the computer show any power at all before it properlay boots?

Does the fans spin up then go off?

Have you tried removing all the power connectors from the PSU to the components, discharged the static or reset the CMOS, could be the motherboard being funny.

Do you notice anything during the pc opereration, like driver crashes or random bluescreens etc etc?

If you are experiencing any of the above, you might want to get a voltage meter and test the PSU.

Hi Gibbo thanks for the reply. In the two years of owning the machine it has only crashed twice. Neither of which where a BSOD just simply crashed with an audio loop.

On a side note I have just got home from work and the machine has powered on instantly :s. Going to keep an eye on this over the next couple of days if anyone has any more advice then please let me know.
