*** Official Nintendo Wii U thread ***

Nintendo Direct about Wii U games coming this spring/summer is scheduled for 3pm tomorrow :)

Wonder if we'll get to see the new 3D mario or if they're keeping it for E3?

No you see, to some of the people in this thread Nintendo can do no wrong, even when they give us an inferior version of a game compared to the rest of the world they still try to defend it.

I'm a huge Nintendo fan, I've owned pretty much every console they have ever released other than the Virtual boy, heck I've bought 3 3DS's and still own 2 of them.

Yet I'm called a troll cause I point out factual information about how badly Nintendo have handled the Wii U thus far.

Ooooh a video I bet it's really interesting but to save me feeling so sad about spending 30p I will give it a miss and just play the game :) Suppose I could go moan about things I don't own but what would be the point in that....

I think (not sure), that it's also another half-assed conversion. Samus was speeded up, while the world was not (like kirby), meaning you can skip stuff like the bomb chozo as you can get to the door before it locks.

Still, I'm sure someone will defend it. Can't wait until 50Hz waverace comes out, see the defense of that.

In Broken Hope's defence, that is quite a hit for Nintendo and not a good sign for the Wii U at all (I say this as someone who doesn't buy many EA games and is still holding on to my Wii U for the 1st party titles).

Get a life bro, seriously this is getting silly now.

The thing is, EA was on the stage with Nintendo, boasting about their new partnership. Its like EA has abandoned Nintendo.

I just wish Nintendo would go back to making more powerful hardware, like the days of Megadrive & SNES :(

Not owning a Wii U but coming from a Wii. I do agree with the post above that they should focus less on gimmicks (IMO) and more on solid gaming. Hence why I haven't played my Wii for years, and moved to a 360, and now even a PS3 to enjoy some true gaming experiences. Not bashing it though. Not entirely sure of the hardware specs, but at least it's pushing out 720p+ content now. Megadrive was Sega not Nintendo btw. :p

But do we really need three similar consoles?
I like the fact that Nintendo try something different, they have great unique first party games.
For everything else i buy on either PS3 or Xbox 360.
