favourite childhood video game!

Streets Of Rage.

Loved Streets of Rage, also Golden Axe, Altered Beast and Sunset Riders (never had this so was always whenever I saw it on Arcade, along with Knights of the Round.)

Much later than those it was Goldeneye on N64, so much time put into that game.

Pokemon, i went to Woolworths with my mum and she bought be Blue with a Lime Game Boy Colour and by the time i got home, i had a level 40 Charizard.

Impressive.
I managed to get a full team of level 100 pokemon, without rare candies, in a week. Charizard, Pidgeot, Alakazam, Onix, Sandslash and Marowak.
I also spent like 2 days trying to catch that dead marowak in lavendar town.

Didn't start playing games until I was about 19 when I bought a snes so not really childhood memories!

Notable memories would be:

(all snes)
Starwing
SSFII Turbo
Super Metroid
Zelda: Links Awakening (or was it A Link to The Past? Can't remember!)
Super Mario Kart
Secret of Mana

It'll be a Link to the Past if it was on the SNES :p

Renegade & Target Renegade - Spectrum
Microprose Soccer - C64
Midnight Resistance, Aliens - Coin Op
Legend of Zelda LttP & Super Mario World - SNES
Sensible Soccer - Amiga

Super Mario Land (Game Boy). Was the only cartridge I owned for years, and I was never allowed a home console so this was my main gaming experience, and my first Mario experience.

I've since found out that SML is actually a really weird Mario game that doesn't stick to the series conventions. Exploding koopa shells is just one example. It also has odd movement physics. But for me, it was Mario. All the others are weird!

Wow too many to mention...but i'll try.

Gryzor
Champ Man
Phoenix
Harrier Attack
Pac Man
Kick off
Sensible Soccer
Cannon Fodder
Commando
Double Dragon
Microprose Golf
Bomb Jack
Run for Gold - or something like that
Match Day

And many many more

Streets Of Rage.

Now I play it on my phone via emulation, looks/works a treat :d

I have to say this. I played the first two through for hours and hours! I still have my copies and the megadrive. Its not the same now I'm an adult alas. Such good memories though! :)

It's the kind of game I play now when sitting on a train or having lunch in a cafe and think to myself "Why the hell would any sane human eat an apple they just found under a bin?!?!" :D
