I can only assume he's been given some flack from AMD to make the article, or trying to make up for the launch review of the FX8350 he gave.

You know, given he'd ripped it apart and this is the same exact CPU.

I'm pretty sure this has nothing to do with Centurion around the corner...............
 
He recently did a review of a prebuild in the bitfenix prodigy with an i5 3570K (@4.4Ghz) and a 7870XT. He confessed that it thrashed this AMD rig in that article (I assume thats the all AMD rig he was talking about) and not just at benching. Which is surprising as the 7870XT is a lot cheaper than the 7970

I won't link the review as the build is from a competitor

id go intel all day long, dont need reviews to tell me that, personal experience and theres a reason intel costs more, its so much better its untrue.

+100% price but only +20% performance? The reason is because they have faster components than AMD they can and will charge crazy for them. Then the consumer just buys as "Its so much better"

Its like charging £20k for a car thats just as comfy as a £10k car but has an extra 20%bhp. Idiots go "its faster and there no other product, buy buy buy!"

If you have the need for that extra performance that justifies double the price then fair enough, e.g. 3 High res screens in surround/eyefinity needing to run 2+GPUs. But for 90% of consumers it really is not needed enough to justify the price.

Apple are similar. £160 for an extra 8Gb of 1600Mhz DDR3 Ram when you can buy it for £60 anywhere else except it doesnt have APPLE on it. If consumers were more educated prices would be lower.

Not an AMD vs Intel rant, more of just an Intel overpricing for just that little extra performance rant aha!
 
Launch price shouldn't really be considered some time down the line, it's what you can buy now that matters. The 8320 is such a good buy, I just bought 2 :p

I couldn't be fussed arguing so just edited it out.
The FX8320, as I've said literally a hundred times is quite easily the best bang for buck CPU around, and by far the best I've ever seen.

Followed very closely by the 150 quid 2500K's, given they were out over 2 years ago now and the performance they offered was crazy.
