In light of the thread 'The worst service you've ever received?', it is very easy for a company to leave bad impressions that are long lasting however, many companies pride themselves on great customer satisfaction and actually delivery on this quite well.

My most recent experience is John Lewis, I ordered some light fixtures and a new shoe rack. The shoe rack was terrible quality and just didn't stand straight once assembled, the light fixture had patches of finish coming away.

I called customer services to express my dissatisfaction, they wrote off both the shoe rack and light fixture, refunded me for both items including the shipping costs me and sent me another light fixture for a Saturday pre 10.30am delivery FOC.

John Lewis are always outstanding, never once had a bad experience of them in all of my life (mum swears by them as well). Bought plenty of things from them over the years and never once had a problem either returning/exchanging incase of a fault, some instances its been 6 months later.

OCUK have always been spot on, plenty of ordering about 5 mins before last orders to get things the next day which is a nice touch as plenty of companies seem to clock off about an hour or two before their "last despatch" time adding longer waits for no real reason.

When I received my ASUS ARES graphics card from Overclockers UK, the card was damaged and the box was missing but the packers used HARIBO instead of jiffy bags as packaging.

I ate the haribo and cried tears of sorrow at the wreckage that was the graphics card, the fried eggs especially were tasty.

Lakeland are excellent too. I ordered something, it was despatched the day after. A couple of days later they rang and said the vehicle carrying it had been involved in a road accident so they redelivered and stood the cost of next day (Saturday) delivery.
Then the original turned up, very battered lol. They'll send someone to pick it up but not until it's convenient at my end. :)

From those I've experienced, Logitech and Corsairs is good (although Corsairs RMA centre being in Amsterdam is a bit of a pain)

O2's is actually pretty good if your issue fits the system. It's annoying if you're trying to get something done that they don't have a 'procedure' for

Logitech have always been fantastic when I've had issues, O2 have always been great to me too.
I've never had issues with OcUK, but ordering over the phone has always been easy :)

Apple replaced the screen on my 27" iMac (it developed a dark smudge in the top corner) six months after the warranty had expired. A £500 repair.

Mine was with a PA company called Mackie.
Out of guarantee I started to have problems with some SRM450s with the tweeters blowing and had to keep taking them for repair at least 4 times.
In the end I contacted Mackie and asked that if I paid the extra £500 could I swap them for the version 2s and of course I thought they would tell me to do one since I'd had them over 2 years.
To my surprise they said they would swap them for free

Logitech are really good. I hope that they don't reduce the levels of service as a method of cost cutting.

Amazon, Logitech, EVGA and Corsair.

Amazon in general just has outstanding customer support.
Logitech sent me a £50 pair of speakers to replace my £10 pair they no longer stocked without me even needing to provide proof I owned them.
EVGA allowed me to return a GTX 670 because I didn't like the noise the fan made.
Corsair sent me a brand new 600T because one of the side panels didn't fit correctly.

All of the above with pleasant customer support that actually spoke and understood English.

I've tried to work with ASUS and MSI before and both times the customer support could barely write a sentence in English that made sense and didn't seem to understand anything I sent in.

I'm gonna buck the trend here and say Virgin Media are great. Been with them for years.
Recently realised I was about 18 months into a 12 month contract so I called them to see if there were any better deals. Got upgraded to a TiVo box with the old HD box put I to the bedroom and BB boosted to 30 meg. All for about £8 LESS than I was paying per month!
Fitter came at agreed time and did very neat job or running the cable around the house.
Oh yeah and BB has been super reliable unlike my poor mate who has had all sorts of dropouts and disruption. He only lives a mile away from me.

DPD seem to be a very good courier too, get all my OC goodies delivered by them and they have never missed their 1 hr time slot.

Oh yeah, Orange contract phone too. I got an S3 for £36 a month with 1200 minutes and unlimited everything else.

I was only using about 46 minutes a month so phoned to be cheeky and see if they would drop it.

The women on the phone managed to drop it down £15 a month only about 5 months into my contract.

400 minutes and still unlimited everything else. There is a "fair" usage on the data though so not to great.

Apple are definitely up there for awesome service - They've made it so easy to get a personal response for any problems you may have.

OcUK also haven't let me down in that department. Definitely the one online store I go to for most computer bits and pieces I need :)

Apple - Went and gave my Dad's iPhone 3g with signal issues. Each time, I walked out with a refurbed phone even when the original was out of warranty.

Sony - PS3 broke out of warranty, refurb was at my door the next day and a straight swop for mine. Exactly the same with my PSP.

John Lewis - Bought a Bravia before Boxing Day, found it too small. Took it back on Boxing Day and bought a 55" for £100 more in the sales. No hassle, no fuss, literally took back the old one and they sorted everything else.

Virgin Mobile - Rang them a stupid amount of times for help with my sim and they have been excellent each time.

Quite a few but one that stands out is when shopping in Neiman Marcus in Vegas I saw a pair of Paul Smith shoes in store which I wanted but were discontinued in the UK. The assistant checked but they didn't have my size. In most UK stores that would be the end of that wouldn't it- a grunt with "not got your size mate sorry, try the website"

This guy went on to their store computer, found a pair in the Philadelphia branch and got them sent to my home address in the UK, adding I bet they beat you home. I arrivedhome 3 days later...and they had.

John Lewis, ordered a Samsung sound bar via the website and was delivered in 2 pieces (not supposed to be)

They couldn't do enough to rectify the problem.

When I ordered my Tv from JL the driver was running out of driving hours as he was stuck in traffic, phoned me and I went to meet him where he had parked up in a layby.
