990fxa ud5 and MSI Radeon HD 7950 Twin Frozr problems

Hi,
I sold the above card and the buyer has emailed me saying his PC will not boot with the card in

The card worked perfectly for me on a different motherboard

Anyone got any tips that i can pass on what to check for to try and get the card to work?

He has a xfx 850 pro XXX PSU

16 Gb 1600mhz Corsair Vengeance

Updating his BIOS could work. Some people have been having issues with 7950s and Gigabyte motherboards, a BIOS update usually fixes it.

Yes he says he has the latest bios F12a

thanks yes both power cables are in

He also says he already has a MSI 7950 V2 card and it works fine. Tho he says the V2 card has one 6pin power and one 8 pin power

Try a clear CMOS. Often helps booting in with multiple GPUs where there's a problem.

Just an update this is the problem he is having

direct quote from the buyer

"i don't understand why it goes past bios but not windows"

So does this mean a driver problem??
I said maybe try a clean install of windows 7?
