I came across this old graphics card but can't remember what it is. It's think it was 12mb! Any ideas?

One of the voodoos

Voodoo2 perchance

The. Again maybe not a 2 as only one VGA output maybe a 3

It's obviously a 3dfx card. :) Not a voodoo 1 or 2 since there is no vga input (as they were pass through cards) and they were PCI anyway.

Looks to be a 2000 or 3000 AGP card. Looking up the memory chip specs I think it's an 8 MB card, but could be wrong.

In fact, if you check this site out - http://3dfx.weppel.nl/3dfxpics/index.php?sort=size&order=desc - and view the picture entitled "3dfx Voodoo 3 2000 AGP Front 5.jpg" it looks to be the same card.

Why are you trying to identify it?

Any ideas why the pin header isn't there and some of the pins are soldered together? I bought the card new and I know I didn't do it!

Looks to be a 2000 or 3000 AGP card. May be as high as 256MB card, but more likely 128 or 64.

Curiosity mainly, I've been wanting to rebuild an old PC since I found it!

they tended to use the same PCB across different models so the header is missing from this model to save money sell it cheaper and the next model up would have the header.

Find a motherboard with an AGP slot, and that will tell you what card it is. Just watch for the VGA BIOS being displayed for maybe a second right before the BIOS screen is shown. You may find a CRT monitor is better for showing this information.

I've got a Voodoo 3 here and that card on the pic looks smaller than my V3.
Looks like a V2 to me, that said, IIRC my old V2 had an sli/xfire bridge slot at the top.
